Step 1: Rinse your Mooncup®
Before you sterilise, make sure to rinse your Mooncup® under running water.

Step 2: Prepare the cleaning pot

Step 3: Microwave with care
Next, place the lid on top of the pot, but resist the temptation to seal it tightly. Leave the lid loose to allow steam to escape and to avoid pressure build-up. Set your microwave to 750-900 watts and time it for three minutes.
Step 4: Allow to cool
Once the microwave cycle is complete, do not be hasty in removing the cleaning pot. It's important to allow the pot (and its contents) to stand in the microwave for an additional ten minutes.
Step 5: Carefully remove cleaning pot
After standing, put on oven gloves to carefully remove the hot pot from the microwave. Place it on a heat-resistant surface and allow it to cool fully before handling further.
