&SISTERS rings in 2020 with crowdfunding success

As we all welcomed the start of a new decade two weeks ago, the ladies at &SISTERS HQ were feeling especially celebratory come New Years Day not only did we meet our crowdfunding goal, but we surpassed it! In December 2019, we launched a crowdfunding campaign on Crowdcube, raising money to turbocharge our growth, build a brand that’s best in class and develop products that are better for our bodies, our planet and womankind. In just 30 days, we successfully raised funds to create feminine care products designed for women everywhere – and we have you to thank for helping us get there.

&SISTERS, the feminine care brand with a conscience, has brought consumers 100% organic cotton period products and nüdie period cups since early 2018. Now that we’ve secured funding, we’re developing new products, hiring the best people and collaborating with like-minded brands and influencers. Later this month, we’ll be releasing our new paper-wrapped naked tampon – giving you a completely compostable period.

One of our favourite moments in our crowdfunding journey was our night at Chapter’s London pop-up, aptly named Women Who Give a Sh*t. Co-founders Claire and Lucy Lettice met with members of the Crowdcube community to discuss their vision for the future of all things feminine care.

Our crowdfunding pitch was a great experience to have been through. It really made us question all aspects of our business and it was great speaking with curious women (and men!), throughout our crowdfunding campaign, both face to face and virtually around the UK and globally.

Although our crowdfunding campaign has come to a close, you can still take part in the &SISTERS journey. We’re currently looking to hire a logistics & operations project manager, as well as a marketing & operations intern – if you’re interested, drop us a line at talktous@andsisters.co.uk to let us know why you’re the perfect candidate.
